Kindred Spirits on the Roof Thrusts You Into a “Yuritopia” High School, Now Coming West

Manga Gamer has announced the acquisition of Liarsoft’s 30th release, Kindred Spirits on the Roof.

The game is set around a shy girl named Toomi Yuna, who prefers to eat alone on the roof of her school, the Kokonotsuboshi Girl’s Academy. However, one day she finds out that the roof is haunted by the ghosts of two girls that died, before they could fully realize their love for other girls.

While the two female ghosts are happily together in the afterlife, they can’t fully pass on until they figure out how two girls make love to each other. Yuna is quickly enlisted by these two specters to help turn the entire school into a “yuritopia” filled with happy couples of ladies, so the ghosts may finally pass on, or in this case, go out with a bang (pun intended).

Players will be able to experience eight months of the school year, which tells the story of over 16 different characters. You can view these from different perspectives, through different times in the school year. Manga Gamer is promising “countless tales” of girl-on-girl romances, while Yuna and her ghost friends will hopefully get the first, and the “last climax of their afterlives.”

A release date wasn’t confirmed, but we’ll keep you guys posted.

LOL. Yeah, I saw the pictures of the new movie, I hope it’s good because I like the comedians in it, but it looked like a bad parody to me. I just hope for the sake of the movie, it isn’t just Ghostbusters plot with women.

Juhani from the first Knights of the Old Republic, is a lesbian character, and that game came out years before either of those you mentioned. Also you shouldn’t forget the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series… Also Fallout 3 and New Vegas allowed lady loving ladies, plus Skyrim. All of those came out before Gone Home and The Last of Us.
