Shiness Beta Demo Now Available For Backers, New Gameplay Shown At Japan Expo

According to a recent Kickstarter update, Shiness, the new JRPG-esque game being developed by French indie developer Ynnis Interactive, is now ready to give backers of the title their first taste of gameplay. Though it’ll only be available for those who opened up their wallets during funding, the first playable demo of the game is now online and downloadable from the official website.

Also of note is the game’s recent showing at Paris’ Japan Expo, where it received a lengthy public gameplay demo and an explanation of its features by the developers themselves. The above video features a solid hour of footage, though unfortunately it’s all in French and no closed caption option exists. Regardless, it does reveal quite a bit, including the change in design the game’s characters underwent over the course of the RPG’s development.
