• Food Wars is Getting a Nintendo 3DS Game this Winter

    While a mobile game adaptation for the popular Food Wars (Shokugeki no Soma) manga/anime is coming, we’ve learned (via AnimeNewsNetwork) that a 3DS game for the series is in the works.

    The news comes via the 25th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, in which the game Shokugeki no Soma: Yujo to Kizuna no Hitosara (roughly translated into Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma: The Dish of Friendship and Bonds) has been confirmed for the Nintendo 3DS.

    While screenshots or gameplay haven’t been revealed just yet – we know developer FuRyu is working on the game. The 3DS adaptation is described as a “taste personal experience cooking battle adventure” experience.

    FuRyu is looking to ship the game this winter, and you can expect the protagonist Sōma Yukihira and other students from the Tōtsuki Culinary Academy, as they partake in heated and exhilarating cooking battles.
