[ORIGINAL STORY]

Square Enix has confirmed they’re porting Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King to the Nintendo 3DS.

The game was originally launched on the Playstation 2 back in 2004, followed by a smartphone release in Japan this past December.

Dragon Quest VIII on the 3DS will cost 5,980 yen, although for now we know it’s only confirmed for Japan. You can find the game’s newly opened website here.

Finally, the new version is set to arrive in Japan on August 27th.
