• 2D Puzzle Platformer, Renoir, Gets Teaser Video, Screenshots, Concept Art Out

    Renoir is a 2D puzzle platformer that will be coming to PC and possibly consoles. The developers, Soulbound Games, will soon be putting the game up on Kickstarter for crowdfunding and, ahead of that effort, they’ve released some material for us to consider.

    You can watch the moody teaser video above, and see some concept art and screenshots for the game below.


    There’s not much information about Renoir yet. We do know that players will be playing as a private investigator, James Renoir, as he investigates his final case. “On the complicated path to solving it,” the game’s official website reads, “James must finally overcome his past and face the fact that in a city saturated with fear and corruption, there is hardly a future for him.” As the PI searches for clues and evidence, he will solve environmental puzzles.

    Do the phrases “2D puzzle platforming” and “noir aesthetic” belong together? We’ll be finding out, apparently.
