Bandai Namco has Trademarked “Eyes of Heaven” and “Cinderella Girls” in Europe

It seems like Bandai Namco is readying up the localization for two very unique titles – JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven and The Idolmater: Cinderella Girls.

First up, the trademark for “Eyes of Heaven” was filed with the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OAMI), which is clearly the subtitle for their upcoming Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 fighter, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven.

Lastly, the “Cinderella Girls” trademark is a nod toward The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls, as well as the new season of the ongoing Idolmaster anime. You can find the mark for Cinderella Girls here, and the mark for The Idolmaster here.

So what do you guys think? Amazing news?

Who wants to put money on what they’ll change the names to so they can save on lawyer fees? Scary Creatures or Frightening Monsters?

  • Sergio Nacher Fernández

Wait… They have trademarked Cinderella Girls? They plan to release Idolmaster out of Japan?

Diablo must be trembling in cold right now!

I’d be interested if they brought over one of the console simulation games in the series, but I’m not interested in a F2P mobile game like Cinderella Girls.

Smartphone. Idolmaster games have already been released outside of Japan on the mobiles. don’t get to excited.

  • Sergio Nacher Fernández

Heh. Even that little is good enough to cue the flying pigs, considering how much Bandai Namco hates western gamers.

  • landlock

Really. I think there one of the better publishers at bringing games over at the moment tbh.

I hope you’re ready to shell out $200+ to get cards that aren’t MIO FUCKING HONDA.

And I’m saying this as a Mio mark.

  • Sergio Nacher Fernández

    It could be worse…

    Right? c.c

  • Fatocaster

    Yeah.

You could be shelling out $300+.

  • Sergio Nacher Fernández

    Or $400…

But I guess you’re right. It could be better news. ._.

Can’t say I’m excited for Idolmaster (I can enjoy a good sim but I can’t into Japanese and every other idolmaster game they’ve brought over were like $50 smartphone games) but who knows.

Can’t say I’m surprised by Eyes of Heaven though, even though I feel like I should be. I guess ASB did better than expectations. Here’s hoping they use the Crunchyroll-sub names this time at least, even if it’s not as good as using the actual ones it’s still better than that junk about “Jean Pierre Eiffel.” Or “Zipper Man.” Seriously, couldn’t just call it “Zippy Fingers” or something?

I’d kill for a westside release of the [email protected] games. But like people said on the comments, its probably for smartphone…

At least one Japanese publisher loves us. Namco knows how to treat a European right. Take notes Atlus…
