No way. No fucking way. Why?!

  • You missed the news a few days ago, eh? My condolences.

  • Siveon

Rest in piece Dragon’s Dogma. We hardly knew ye.

Well, at least Capcom is cutting the middle-man in killing off beloved franchises. They didn’t even let this one become a franchise.

I’d really love to know what the hell is wrong with the people making decisions at Capcom. How hard is it to take advantage of a surprise hit? You just…make a sequel, listen to community feedback and improve on what you did before. The absolute *last* thing you do is turn it into an MMO. Turning single player games into MMO’s is the joke people make about companies they hate, FFS.

  • Siveon

Capcom already sang this tune before though. Remember that Mega Man MMO? We probably would’ve found it to be completely shit were it not for the fact Crapcom couldn’t release a Mega Man game if it saved their lives.

Find solace that this probably won’t be localized either. It’ll be lost in the ether, never to return, like all of the other shovelware free-to-play online crap.

That is, unless it gets popular. Oof. That’ll be another kind of death altogether, the slow and painful kind.

Still looks like dragons dogma so yay but goddamn online and microtransactions fucking hell capcom you have so many decent franchises why do you keep killing them

  • Touma

this may be me being delusional but i feel like there’s gonna be something after this. just a gut feeling. we’ll get dragon’s dogma 2………………….eventually T___T

  • Grey

Well it LOOKS like Dragon’s Dogma.

In fact, it looks exactly like Dragon’s Dogma. Same animations, same enemies, same dang near everything. That’s underwhelming, though it might just be too early for them to unveil anything new.

Between that and it being an MMO though, not really shaping up so far to being something I’m that interested in. Still waiting too see what their micro-transactions look like. Admit I’m expecting a horror show there. I’ve never seen a Capcom-sized company who didn’t want to plant a stool down next to gamers and milk them for all they were worth on micro-transactions.

  • Death Saved

in before it fails and capcom says that people dont want Dragon Dogma games, WE WANT SP (WITH OPTIONAL MP) NOT A FREAKING MMO WANABE!

The wind isn’t pushing me anymore
    ;__________;

  • Omnistrand

Well, on the bright side at least the music’s fantastic. Despite my broken heart I’ve rewatched the trailer again and again purely for the soundtrack…

  • Tyrannikos

What I find interesting is that they didn’t show much of climbing on enemies, a massive part of DD. Probably because it’s still a difficult action with weird mechanics. Instead of fixing up and improving upon the little quirks that made DD what it is (A fucking fantastic, odd, energizing experience), they’re shoveling out this crap nobody wanted.

I shouldn’t let games pain my ass this much, but I can’t help it with certain franchises.

  • CookieSoup

The gameplay looks deceivingly true to the original. Let’s see what happens when they slap an undoubtedly shitty F2P model onto it, though.

  • Gyr0Man

    CAPCOM, PLS.
    PLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanatos2k

Sadly, we should have known this was coming.

“I regret to say that, up to now, we had few plans for the full-scale
implementation of DLC. From here on out, we need to focus on the
long-term provision of content starting at the earliest stages of
development. Furthermore, in terms of user response, if the additional
related content we are providing continually to users online is deemed
uninteresting from the start, there will be no ongoing business to
pursue. This means that, more than ever before, the creation of
underlying content is the key to success.”

We all rolled our eyes, but the goddamn lunatic was actually serious. This is the business they are pursuing. They seriously think this is what people want.

I can’t wait for Capcom to be ground into dust.

Has potential but I dont trust Capcom a lot, But i will wait an see on this.

  • Hyena

    I just wanted dragons dogma on pc [bonus for some multiplayer too], not a whole MMO ; n;
