Final Fantasy XIII-2 is 1080p/60FPS Supported on Steam, Coming Next Month

Square Enix has confirmed the release date for Final Fantasy XIII-2 on Steam.

The game is set to arrive in full high-definition next month, on December 11th. Featured above, a brand new trailer was also revealed to showcase the game’s PC/Steam build, with a tease at the “host of new features and enhancements,” that fans can expect.

According to the above trailer and the game’s Steam page, it will run at 1080p/60FPS. Perhaps Square has listened to the fans who were, to put it simply, refusing to just play the original Final Fantasy XII at a measly 720p resolution on PC? They took matters into their own hands, by the way.

You can expect Final Fantasy XIII-2 to also come with all of the downloadable content that was made available on the console versions. For now, you can go ogle the game’s Steam page, here.

It sorely needs the framerate fix.

I just checked and they have japanese audio for westerns this time as a choice. Looks like I will be purchasing this, after all!

how about they fix the first game too ?, but no, they got the preordering fools with that one already, they wouldnt bite a second time without something like this so they “listen to the fans”

Arent they ashamed that their customers have to fix their crap by themselves ? what would anyone think if you bought a Ford/Audi/Mercedes/Whatever car and they needed to file the doors to get the windows working, or rewire the gearbox to access gears 4 and 5 ?

If we let it pass, they will keep doing it, i dont want this to become the norm

There is a patch slated to come out on December to allow 1080p and “graphical options”. Dual (or quad) core support could be piggybacking on it.

I would say a lot of people played the first because it’s a plain AWFUL game.
(btw I had to edit the FFXIII in there. The original line has it as FFXII)
