This week’s Famitsu has revealed quite a wonderful new title for the 3DS –Â PoPoLoCrois Bokujou Monogatari, or roughly in English, PoPoLoCrois Farm Story.
While the game is clearly a mash up of both the Harvest Moon and PoPoLoCrois franchises, it won’t be localized as a regular Harvest Moon title, considering Marvelous’ recent dropping of the Harvest Moon name in the west.
The mechanics in game are a combination of farming and turn based combat, featuring the young prince, Pietro. A bunch of familiar characters are also involved in the game, a list of which is below:
- Prince Pietro (voiced by Ai Orikasa)
- Narushia (voiced by Yuri Shiratori)
- Gilda (voiced by Masako Nozawa)
- White Knight (voiced by Masashi Ebara)
- Gamigami Devil (voiced by Akio Otsuka)
Tamori Yousuke, creator of the original manga series, sounded off regarding the new game:
“We’ve finally been able to make the game thanks to all the hard work from various people. This is a new adventure for PoPoLoCrois.”
In PoPoLoCrois Farm Story, Pietro will take care of animals, while also maintaining the crops on the farm, much like the Harvest Moon series. Further details, like a release date, were not announced.
Lastly, Marvelous producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto is also working on an “unexpected project” that is currently in the planning phases, but he unfortunately can’t announce it just yet.
