In the middle of all the hubbub at E3 2014, it was easy to miss all of the glorious indies that were being shown off at the show, and briefly on the center stages.

Sony has been tightly embracing the indie community for awhile now, and their presence at E3 2014 was definitely one filled with indies – most of which are coming to the Playstation 4.

Without further ado, here is the list of the most notable indies that are coming to PS4:

A Night in the Woods (Fall 2014)

Night In The Woods is an adventure game heavily focused on story, characters and exploration, with some platforming to get around town. Mae’s a cat so the roofs and ledges and powerlines are all her playground, and she’s not the only one up there by a long shot.

EarthNight (2015, also on PS Vita)

DRAGONS HAVE TAKEN OVER THE EARTH! It’s up to a 14 year old school girl and an unemployed photographer to stop them. EarthNight is a hand painted rougelike runner about the dragon apocalypse. We’ll be launching on PS4 and then coming to iOS, Android, PS Vita, Mac & PC shortly after.

Broforce (TBA)

When evil threatens the world, the world calls on Broforce – an under-funded, over-powered paramilitary organization dealing exclusively in excessive force. Brace your loins with up to four players to run ‘n’ gun as dozens of different bros and eliminate the opposing terrorist forces that threaten our way of life. Unleash scores of unique weapons and set off incredible chain reactions of fire, napalm, and limbs in the name of freedom.

Magicka 2 (TBA)

The world’s most irreverent co-op action adventure returns! In the next chapter of Magicka, players ascend from the ruins of Aldrheim to experience a Midgård almost wiped free of Wizards after the Wizard Wars, with the few that do remain having either gone mad or extremely hostile toward all others.

Shadow Warrior (2014)

Shadow Warrior tells the offbeat tale of Zilla Enterprise’s corporate shogun, Lo Wang, who is ordered by his employer to track down and acquire a legendary blade known as the Nobitsura Kage. Forced into a timeless battle, Lo Wang learns of the blade’s connection to ancient gods from another realm, pushing our world to the brink of destruction. Aided by Hoji, a banished spirit from this mysterious world, Lo Wang must use a masterful combination of gun, blade, magic and wit to discover the truth behind the demonic invasion and banish the encroaching forces back into the darkness.

The Talos Principle (Fall 2014)

The Talos Principle is a philosophical first-person puzzle game from Croteam, the creators of the Serious Sam series, and written by Tom Jubert (FTL, The Swapper) and Jonas Kyratzes (Infinite Ocean). Players are tasked with solving a series of increasingly difficult series of complex puzzles woven into a metaphysical parable about intelligence and meaning in an inevitably doomed world.

Axiom Verge (Early 2015)

A retro-styled 2D metroidvania action adventure, inspired by such classics as Rygar, Contra, Bionic Commando, Blaster Master, and of course, Metroid. It also gives you power over glitches like those found in classic games, allowing you to scramble enemies, corrupt environments, and enter hidden areas.

Titan Souls (Early 2015)

Between our world and the world beyond lie the Titan Souls, the spiritual source and sum of all living things. Now scattered amongst the ruins and guarded by the idle titans charged with their care, a solitary hero armed with but a single arrow is once again assembling shards of the Titan Soul in a quest for truth and power.

Kingdom Under Fire II (TBA)

A MMORPG hybrid with RTS and action RPG elements, you’ll fight against hordes of enemies as a general commanding your troops. Bersia is in chaos and desperately in need of a hero.

Secret Ponchos (TBA)

Secret Ponchos takes place in a dramatic Wild West setting, full of tension, stylization and attitude reflective of a graphic-novel. In a town crawling with bandits, murderers and bounty hunters you are an outlaw with a bounty on your head and everyone is gunning for you. In order to survive you must be the best and to gain notoriety you must defeat your opponents–claiming their achievements as your own. How many you kill and the rewards you collect define your legacy.

Loadout

Loadout is a new “Free-2-Play” take on fast-paced, multiplayer shooters. Players invent and customize their own outrageous weapons to carry into furious, over-the-top shooter action that truly distinguishes itself from the vast array of “modern combat” titles. Earn new weapon parts, character customizations, equipment, and accessories as you gain prestige and wealth. The more you play, the more you can customize. There are endless possibilities to truly set yourself apart from your opponents. We’ll continue to update Loadout with new items, customizations, game-play modes, features and much more.

Aqua Kitty DX and Rock Boshers DX (TBA)

The milk has run out and cats have begun to seek a new source. When what seems to be full-fat milk is discovered deep under the ocean seabed, drilling gets underway. Get ready for fast paced submarine action, defending the miner kittens from disruptive mechanical sea creatures. THE MILK MUST FLOW!

So which indies are your favorite – or rather which are you the most excited for?
