• Bandai Namco to Sponsor EVO 2014, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is Added to Line-up

    EVO – the masterclass fighting game tournament that comes every year, is getting a little bigger. They’ve announced that they’re adding yet another robust fighting game, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, to the roster of available games to sign up for and compete in to win fabulous prizes. Alongside the announcement of TTT2 being added to the brackets, the event will be gaining Bandai Namco sponsorship.

    The news was confirmed on the latest episode of The Fray, a show on the iPlayWinner Twitch TV channel. During the stream, EVO co-founder Joey “Mr. Wizard” Cuellar confirmed that the game would be making an appearance in the event. The addition of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 brings the roster at EVO 2014 to a total of eight games, the other seven include: BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Killer Instinct, The King of Fighters 13, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Ultra Street Fighter 4.


    If you’re heading to EVO this year now that TTT2 has been added to the line up, the Registration page has already been updated to reflect the addition of Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Also confirmed via Cuellar was the notable fact that Bandai Namco would be sponsoring the event this year.

    EVO 2014 is being held at the Las Vegas Hotel and Casino from July 11th to the 13th.
