Minecraft creator Notch has confirmed the amazing news – Minecraft has surpassed a cumulative total of 100 million registered users. He announced the news via his own personal twitter account.

The other statistics for the game are quite mind boggling, namely that 14.3% percent of the registered users convert over to paid accounts, where they get full access to the game outside of its trial version. In order to post on the official Minecraft forums, you have to register a free account for the game.

Mojang revealed that the PC and Mac versions of the game have sold over 14 million copies since its original launch. The indie hit has since seen a release across a multitude of other devices, including Xbox 360, Playstation 3, iOS, Droid, and soon Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Playstation Vita.
