Gamecube Prototype Appears On Ebay

Those of you who were following the industry closely back then may remember that before it was formally announced, Nintendo’s Gamecube system went by the interior codename of Dolphin. Much like Saturn’s codename of Katana, it may have been a good idea to keep using it…unfortunately the only thing that bears that name is the emulator used to run its games.

That being said, one of the original prototypes of that early Gamecube system has popped up on Ebay, and is currently going for $355.

This is mainly for collectors though, so rich gamers with a desire for extreme collecting need only apply. Still, it would make a nice conversation starter for when other gamers come to your place and wonder what the big metal block under your television is.

Be warned, however, that the seller only ships to USA, Canada and Mexico and will not accept any refunds.
