Feast your eyes on the Super Retro Trio, a three in one console that is designed to play games from the Sega Genesis, Nintendo Entertainment System, and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Originally shown off last April, it was set for a release the following summer.

Due to controller mapping issues, it was delayed into this year, but now the manufacturer and distributor Innex has confirmed the classic machine will be launching in mid to late March of this year. Innex revealed that it discovered the controller mapping issues on a few of the first samples.

“We stand behind our products,” Innex president Titi Ngoy said. “There is no room for less than the highest level of satisfaction. Retro-bit is one of the elite brands that Innex distributes worldwide and this collaboration with the manufacturer will ensure a successful launch of this outstanding console.”

The console will retail at $69.99 and will have three actual cartridge slots for your classic games that have been presumably collecting dust. It has the following features:

  • Six controller ports (two for each platform)
  • Two SNES styled 16-bit controllers
  • An AC adapter and an S-video/AV cable

The console also has an optional Super Retro Adapter that will set you back $44.99, and it will allow you to play Game Boy Advance cartridges on the Super Retro Trio, the original SNES, and apparently “any other third party 16-bit console.”
