It seems that trademark for Moon Chronicles that Renegade Kid filed last month was the real deal, as Renegade Kid has confirmed that their 2009 DS classic, Moon, is heading to the Nintendo 3DS.

The game will be adapted into an episodic release for the platform, in full stereoscopic 3D as well. Moon Chronicles will run at 60 frames per second and in fullscreen anti-aliasing with the 3D turned off, all the while displaying more detailed models, enemies, environments, and weapons.

Each episode will contain a group of missions, they are as follows:

  • Episode 1 ($8.99) – Contains chapters 1-4 and six training missions called Tsukigami’s VR Training, coming in at approximately four hours of gameplay.
  • Episode 2 ($1.99) – Contains chapters 5-8, contains roughly two hours of gameplay
  • Episode 3 ($1.99) – Contains chapters 9-12, contains roughly two hours of gameplay
  • Episode 4 ($1.99) – Contains chapters 13-16, contains roughly two hours of gameplay

The first episode, One Small Step, is set for release in April of this year. This re-release is possible due to the publishing rights for Moon reverting back to Renegade Kid after it was published by Mastiff Games years ago.
