The president of the Robotoki game studio, Robert Bowling, had quite a surprise late last night when he was still at the office, hard at work on their next project. Two thugs (or thieves perhaps) attempted to rob the studio, and after breaking through their front door Bowling got up to check out the disturbance.

He recounted the chilling incident on twitter:

That second tweet links out to a video that he posted from their studio’s surveillance camera, in which you can actually see the robbers breaking in, only to be confronted by Bowling himself, to which the one thug quickly retreats back outside and then both of them bolt it.

You can view the contents of the video, converted to gif form, below:

In an update via Kotaku, Bowling confirmed that the authorities are into the full swing of investigating the incident now:

“The LAPD took a report and footage. Detectives take over from here. Luckily surrounding businesses have security footage of the way they ran.”

In order to help the collaborative effort to find the criminals, Bowling did ask for others to share the information, so if you read this – please do.

Robotoki is currently working on a post-zombie apocalypse titled Human Element, in which other humans are put on the fore-front as the real threat after an apocalypse.
