Following the leak in Famitsu, Marvelous AQL has finally revealed their next biggest Senran Kagura game, Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson.

The game is set for release on August 7th in Japan and will retail for 6,480 yen. A Nyuu Nyuu DX Pack will come with a special box with limited package design, a drama CD, and an arranged soundtrack, and a five figure set from Toy Works Niitengo of the Homura Crimson Squad. As a celebration of the new title, first run copies will come with a bonus four disc soundtrack that is a compilation of the background music from each Senran Kagura title.

Following the initial report from the Famitsu leak, development of Senran Kagura 2 is being done by Tamsoft. The story of the game is set in Kyoto, with one of the biggest additions being the new Pair Battle system, which allows two characters to partner up and use Joint Secret Ninja Arts attacks. Co-op play is also supported, as well as full stereoscopic playback.

Certain characters from the Hanzo and Hebijo Clandestine Girls’ Academy are confirmed to return. Two new characters include Kagura (voiced by Yuki Matsuoka) and Naraku (voiced by Yuuko Kaida). Another character, Murasame, will also be playable, but unfortunately you’ll need save data from the previous game to unlock him—otherwise he’ll be paid DLC.
