Crimson Dragon Got an Update Before Launch

Games get updates all the time, but it’s usually unheard of for a game to get a patch between its review embargo and its actual shipping/arrival in retail stores.

Crimson Dragon is getting just that – but as an Xbox One launch game, it’s already available at retail. However, the team at Grounding Inc. are dedicated to making the game an excellent experience, so they prepped up the follow changes:

  • We have increased the experience points your dragons will get from each battle, including the experience points you get when you fail a mission.
  • Finding your favorite combination of items is an important part of “Crimson Dragon,” so we’ve reduced the cost of items and expanded the availability of jewels (in-game credits) throughout the game.
  • We’ve adjusted the different game styles, “Casual” and “Classic”, to better match their intended level of difficulty.

The previous details were shared in an update on the game’s development blog. These changes were made after some critics were giving the game some mediocre to ok scores.

Yukio Futatsugi, the game director, has promised to keep the game updated even after launch.
