Square Enix announced today on their website that they plan on releasing ports of the first 8 games in the franchise for iOS and Android.

No word yet on if the ports will be enhanced or which versions they will use.  Will they use the Game Boy Color remakes of the first 3 games and the DS remakes of the next 3?  We don’t know yet, but we will let you know as soon as we find out.
